Privacy Policy

Telepromptme builds apps that are private by default. Across our suite, your scripts, recordings and translations stay on your device, and any speech recognition is performed on-device.

This policy explains what information the Telepromptme apps does and does not handle, and how your privacy is protected. We've written it in plain language; if anything is unclear, email support@telepromptme.com and we'll gladly help.

The short version

• We do not require an account and we do not ask for your name or email to use the app.
• Your content stays on your device: we don't upload, sell or share it.
• Purchases are handled by Apple: we never see your payment details.

Information we collect

the Telepromptme apps is designed to work without collecting personal information. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not gather your name, email address, contacts or location for our own use.

Your content

Scripts, recordings and projects you create are stored locally on your device under your control. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, that content is stored in your own private iCloud account, governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy, not by us.

Purchases

In-app purchases and any subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive anonymous, aggregated sales information from Apple and never see your card number, billing address or other payment details.

Diagnostics

If you opt in through your device's settings, Apple may share anonymised crash and usage diagnostics with us to help us fix bugs and improve the app. This data is not tied to your identity, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Third parties

We do not sell or rent your information, and the Telepromptme apps does not include third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. The only third party involved is Apple, in its role as the platform and payment provider.

Children's privacy

the Telepromptme apps is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your control

Because your content lives on your device (and, optionally, your iCloud account), you can delete it at any time by removing it in the app or deleting the app. If you have any request regarding your privacy, contact us and we'll respond promptly.

This website

telepromptme.com sets no cookies. The only things kept in your browser are your language choice and, if you use the online teleprompter, your script and its settings. They stay on your device and are never sent to us, which is why you see no cookie banner.

The online teleprompter runs entirely in your browser. Your script is never uploaded, and a share link carries the script inside the link itself, in the part after the # sign, which browsers do not send to any server.

To understand which pages are useful we run a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service on our own server. It records the page visited, the referring site, your browser and device type, the country derived from your IP address, clicks on App Store links, plays of the short videos, and use of the online teleprompter's play, fullscreen and share buttons, never the script itself. Your IP address is never stored; it is used only to look up that country and to derive a rotating hashed identifier that cannot be traced back to you, and no data is shared with any third party. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, or a content blocker stops the analytics request, nothing is recorded.

Fonts, images and our own videos are served from our domain. Pages that include a YouTube tutorial are the exception: the video articles load YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, and the how-to guides and the online teleprompter page load the video's preview image from YouTube, so on those pages your browser contacts Google before you press play. Links to the App Store or YouTube only leave this site when you click them.

We may update this policy as our apps evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
